LR62XE, the +30dBm SX1262 LoRa Module

LR62XE LoRa and BLE Modules with power amplifier

LR62XE is a Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver module with a Skyworks SKY65313 power amplifier. Specifications are:

• Max TX power: +29.2 dBM TX power conducted, just below the +30 dBm FCC limitation.

• With a 2 dBi antenna, the maximum radiated power is +31.2 dBm.

• 902 to 928 MHz

• Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C

• Size: 10.0 (14.0) x22.3mm, L-shape.

You can use any MCU with SPI interface to manage LR62XE. In Fanstel application example, it is paired with a Nordic nRF52840 module for cloud or smartphone connection. An LR62XE and BT840F/BT840XE combo module for M.2 connector, M262X840F/M262X840XE are available.

M262X840XE, The Longest Range LoRa-BLE 5.3, M.2 Module

M262X840XE is a LoRa-BLE 5.3, Thread, Zigbee combo module for M.2 connector, B-key. It provides Bluetooth interface to a smartphone for setting up. BT840XE is a long range Nordic nRF52840, BLE 5.3 module. Per FCC test reports,

• Max TX power is +21.0 dBm or 130 mW, conducted.

• Max radiated power is + 21 dBm with ANT000; or +27 dBm with ANT060, a 6dBi antenna.

• Range between a pair of BT840XE + ANT000 is estimated at 15 KM. It has been measured at 4500 meters due to test site limitation.

• nRF52840, Cortex M4F, 64 MHz.

• 1MB flash/256 KB RAM

• Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C

• Size: 30x42mm.

• Max TX power of LR62XE is + 29.2 dBm or 834 mW. LoRa range has not been measured.

M262X840F

If ultra long range BLE is not required, BT840F with a Nordic nRF52840 can be used to manage LR62XE.

• Nordic nRF52840 QFAA with Cortex M4F at 64MHz

• 1024KB flash/256KB RAM

• Max TX power is +8.5 dBm

• Bluetooth Range: 2300 meters at 125 bps with at least 60% Fresnel zone clearance.

• Operation Temperature: -40°C to +85°C

• Sizes: 30x42mm, B-key

Connecting to Cloud

An application example of LR62XE is in an LEW840X gateway to allow other LoRa devices connecting to AWS, Google, or Microsoft cloud through WiFi, Ethernet, or LTE network.
